The poor performance of Jai Ho questions the position of the Dabangg hero Salman Khan in Bollywood. The movie which generated loads of expectations his fans, failed however to impress its audiences. An assertion supported by the “poor response” of movie-goers on its debut week-end.

Directed by Salman’s brother Sohail, the political thriller also features a heavy dose of action sequences. Released on January 24, it also stars newcomer Daisy Shah along with Tabu and Danny Denzongpa.

Justifying his failure at the box office, the Dabangg Khan stated: “We have done something different, may be people were expecting something like Dabangg, ‘Ready’ like time pass film to enjoy. Some must have understood that Jai Ho is not that kind of film, this is a serious film with a social message.”

Known for his starry attitude, Salman Khan further added that he should bear the failure of his movie.

Wise thought, but does that also mean he shall reimburse all the tickets sold?
