Showing sustained interest in the hospitality sector of the island economy, last week witnessed the debut of the world-renowned Westin brand in Mauritius.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Blue Ocean Park Ltd announced the opening of The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius, on September 4, 2014.

Nestled in lush tropical gardens, the resort, which is the third Starwood hotel to open in Mauritius after the St. Regis Mauritius Resort and Le Méridien Ile Maurice, enjoys a pristine beachfront location in the historic Turtle Bay of Balaclava on the North West coast of the island.

All rooms feature the latest in-room technology as well as the renowned Westin Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Bath with rainforest shower and exclusive White Tea Aloe bath amenities, and Heavenly Robe.
