Rose Maruru is the co-founder of EPIC-Africa. She was in Mauritius last week to attend the Africa Philanthropy Network Assembly. Based in Dakar, in Senegal, EPIC-Africa has just launched the first African Civil Society Organization (CSO) Excellence Awards with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation.
Rose Maruru advocates the networking of African NGOs so that each of them can share their experience to help the continent move forward. She explains that the role of EPIC-Africa also aims to evaluate the work of NGOs and determine whether they use the funds they perceive wisely.
