Wondering what to do this Music Day? Well, how about celebrating it at Mauritius premier lifestyle destination, Azuri, which is offering a comprehensive program to satisfy a vast cross-section of eclectic musical tastes on Saturday June 21, 2014.

For those who are ready for some adventure, an evening on the beach under a Bedouin tent is on offer by the Yatch club. The colorful evening comes for a price of Rs 700 and includes wine and cheese tasting, followed by a BBQ buffet to the accompaniment of live music.

On the agenda is also an acoustic trio which will welcome music lovers in the Zing Café as from 4pm till 6pm, where they can avail a 15% discount on pastries, pizzas and sandwiches.

Besides, the newly opened Coast Bistro and Bar at Azuri will propose a delightful selection of aperitifs as from sunset onwards.

Furthermore, from 6pm till 8pm, Yannick Gérie and his troop will welcome you for a show worthy of the musician’s name.

To bring the exciting evening to a stylish close, the resident DJ will provide a little turntable action.

Finally, it is possible to win a dinner for two in the Yatch Club or a Half Board stay overnight at the Centara Grand Azuri, or a dinner for two in Coast Bistro and Bar by joining the ‘Azuri – Life In Blue’ group on Facebook.

Azuri is an aspirational ocean lifestyle village, offering beachfront luxury residences, including penthouses, duplexes and apartments. It may be noted that Mauritius celebrates Music Day every year on the 21 June and has been celebrating this occasion since 1986.

Music Day was first observed on 21 June 1982 in France on the initiative of Jack Lang, who happened to be the French Culture Minister at the time.

It is now celebrated at international level by many countries as a tribute to musicians and performers and to encourage/ promote new talents.
