Mauritius financial services major ABC Banking Corporation has appointed Gilbert Easton as the new head of its corporate banking segment.

The management of ABC Banking expressed delight with Gilbert Easton’s appointment as it represents an important step in the evolution of the services and capabilities of the bank in the coming years.

“We are happy to welcome Gilbert Easton within our team. This recruitment is of a vital importance in the pursuit of our development strategy,” said Yashod Umanee, General Manager, ABC Banking.

For the new Head of Corporate Banking at ABC Banking, his priority is to continue to deploy resources to provide innovative products and services in the business segment.

According to him, ABC Banking, currently in its third year of operation, now has the solid foundation it needs to grow.

“The reputation of ABC Banking among professionals and companies is already well established, and we now plan to strengthen our customers’ portfolio and to take stock of our operations in this sector,” Gilbert Easton stated.

“We stand out basis our personalized approach to our customers who are our true partners with whom we want to develop a lasting relationship,” Easton added.

With a dozen years of work experience in Mauritius and overseas, Gilbert Easton is in charge of strengthening the service portfolio aimed at the business clientele of ABC Banking.

Before joining ABC Banking, Gilbert Easton worked at Standard Bank Mauritius. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Montreal, where he worked in the banking sector before coming back to Mauritius.

He spent several years working in different banking segments such as private banking, corporate banking, retail banking and risk assessment.

The corporate banking segment of ABC Banking serves established companies, SMEs and individual entrepreneurs.

ABC Banking Corporation groups together three businesses units, namely Corporate and Retail Banking, Leasing and International Banking. Its head office is located at Place d’Armes, in Port-Louis.
