Les fuites autour du contenu du jugement dans l’affaire MedPoint n’ont pas plu au Conseil privé de la Reine. Il réclame des comptes aux avocats de Pravind Jugnauth et du Directeur des poursuites publiques (DPP). La procédure veut que les hommes de loi des deux parties aient accès au jugement de manière «confidentielle» avant qu’il ne soit rendu public.

«Since it appears that there has been a breach of the duty of confidentiality in relation to the judgment, the members of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council have directed the Registrar to write to the parties to ask for an explanation and to ask for the names of all those to whom the judgment was disclosed», a fait savoir l’institution à ION News.

Depuis l’incident à Maurice, il se peut que la procédure de communiquer un verdict sur une base confidentielle aux hommes de loi soit revue.
